Textile network links visionaries with movers and shakers or vice versa

Members of the network include creatives, craftsmen and partners from the textile industry who link up here to realise joint projects with other specialists in the industry. Sourcebook provides additional support whenever it is required along the whole process chain and accompanies projects from the initial spark of an idea right through to serial production. Moreover, the platform also provides its members with access to toolkits with documents and tutorials that help users to help themselves in the areas of procurement, production, workflow organisation and sales.

Sourcebook is aimed at designers, agencies and traders from the textile industry who would like to launch projects together with other specialist members. A whole variety of trades are represented, such as garment makers, tailors, textile and accessory merchants, pattern makers, bag makers, shoemakers, finishers, embroiderers and dyers, so that you can always be sure of finding just the right partner for each project.

The artisans, producers and suppliers who decide to join Sourcebook are able to provide information on the services they offer and find business partners for new orders. Service-providers from all areas of the textile industry as well as specialists from the worlds of product development, materials and machines are all on Sourcebook too.

Standard membership is always free of charge and enables you to see current requests and orders. It also allows you to showcase your enterprise and find the right partner from among 2000 member companies.

The partner package for agencies, entrepreneurs and institutions can be booked for an annual fee of € 690 and includes a media partnership, placement of an online banner, a high listing in searches, discounts on workshops and other activities as well as offering the possibility of founding internal teams on the platform yourself. As an international trade fair for promotional, sports and workwear, PromoTex Expo is already registered as a partner on the site. Additional information about becoming a Sourcebook partner is available here.

The collaborative platform was founded for the textile industry in 2013 in cooperation with the EU-promoted project NEMONA placement and on behalf of Inpolis, a Berlin fashion incubator and network. Sourcebook was formed as a limited company in March 2015 by a team based in Berlin Kreuzberg. The team is constantly developing the platform to enhance networking in the textile industry still further. By raising its profile at fairs and providing access to the most important impulse givers, Sourcebook sees itself as a platform for professionalising the textile industry.

You can meet an expert from Sourcebook live at a fringe event at PromoTex Expo and find out just how the platform works on the Forum13 stage from 12am – 12:30pm on 1st July 2020. The topic of the lecture is “Assignment in search of someone to get the job done – realising projects on the network. That’s Sourcebook – the digital B2B platform for the textile industry. This is what it’s all about.” Feel free to bring along any questions you may have as there will be the opportunity to pick our lecturer’s brains afterwards in a Q&A session.
