Talking with Regatta

Regatta Professional took part in the premiere or PromoTex Expo and was impressed. “We were able to meet some interesting new contacts as well as having valuable conversations with existing customers from all over Europe and even further”, says Sebastien Williams, Export Sales Manager – Regatta Professional. 2020 they are coming back. This is what Regatta thinks about current trends and industry developments.

How important is a trade show like PromoTex Expo for the international textile industry?
PromoTex Expo is a great way of bringing multiple brands within the textile industry together in one place. It works as a one stop shop for customers to come and source their suppliers all the way from garment development to printers. It is also great for exhibitors and suppliers to network and forge great working relationships.

What are the current trends in the textile industry?
It seems that the industry is consistently asking for a range of colour options available in key pieces but also the assurance that the product they are buying is quality and will perform at a high standard. Another big factor is the increased value placed on brand sustainability. These are all areas that Regatta Professional work hard to achieve.

What do you think, in which direction will the industry develop in the next five years?
It looks as though the industry is moving towards a more sustainable way of working by introducing recyclable products and embracing more corporate responsibility. This should create more ethical working conditions in the factories that garments are sourced from.

What was your reason to rebook for PromoTex Expo 2020?
We were so impressed with the exposure to new and existing customers that we would like to build on this at PromoTex Expo 2020 and continue to expand our presence within the textile market.
